tennis2business connects decision-makers who want more than surface-level networking. What began in 2021 as an idea by Mike Winiger and Martin Vacek in Lucerne is today a growing network across Switzerland and Germany. On this page, you'll learn who's behind t2b, what we stand for, and why tennis and business are such a natural fit for us.
What is tennis2business?
tennis2business is a business network for decision-makers who want to combine their passion for tennis with valuable professional connections. Instead of traditional networking events, our members meet on the tennis court. And at the table afterward.
At eight locations across Switzerland and Germany, we host exclusive events throughout the year. On the court, you get to know other decision-makers in real playinig situations. Over dinner together, those ecnounters turn into conversations. And from those conversations grow long-term relationships and business opportunities.
t2b is not an open business mixer or a sales event. We are intentional about keeping our network made up of decision-makers who are willing to invest in real relationships, not just their next pitch.
From Idea to Community
Founders Mike Winiger and Martin Vacek wanted to create a space where decision-makers can meet on the same level. And that without the atmosphere of conservative meetings rooms but instead in places where people share both a passion for sport and business.
In 2021 t2b held their first local events in Lucerne.
It didn't take long to realize that when people get to know each other during a match and sit together for dinner afterwards, more intimate, deep and long-lasting relationships develop.
Today, t2b is active at eight locations across Switzerland and Germany. Local monthly events, a national summer event, and the international t2b Cup only strenghten the community and creates a regular meeting opportunity.

Mike Winiger
In 2021, I co-founded tennis2business together with Martin Vacek — driven by the deep conviction that tennis can be so much more than just a sport.
My own tennis journey began in 2017, when I first discovered my interest in the game. That's how I met Martin on the tennis court — in a moment that has stayed with me to this day. I watched him coaching a young talent: the ease, the precision, the passion he brought to it. In that instant, I thought to myself: "That's how I want to play one day."
We started talking, I began taking lessons with him — and what started as simple curiosity quickly turned into enthusiasm. Enthusiasm turned into dedication. I became a true tennis addict.
At the same time, I recognized the enormous potential tennis holds for bringing people together. From that experience and a shared vision, tennis2business was born.
What began as a simple idea is today a vibrant, steadily growing network across Switzerland and Germany.
For me, tennis2business is a community where decision-makers connect in a genuine and approachable way — people who share a passion for tennis and who want to build real, valuable professional and personal relationships at the same time.
Martin Vacek
Tennis has always been a central part of my life — first as a professional on the tour, later as a coach on the court. Over the years, I've witnessed what this sport does to people: it challenges you, it grounds you, and it brings you together with the right people.
When I first met Mike, it was simply about tennis. Training, progress, the joy of the game. But it quickly became clear that something more could grow from it.
The idea behind tennis2business felt right to me from the very beginning: connecting people through sport — straightforward, genuine, and on equal footing.
In the end, what matters most to me is that people meet who might otherwise never have crossed paths. If something comes out of that — in sport, in business, or simply as human beings — then we've done everything right.
And that's exactly how it was with Mike and me.

Sport is the connecting element
Tennis create an environment where hierarchy takes the backseat. People playing together end up talking on a different level with each other. Exactly that is what we use for building long-lasting connections.
Accontability and commitment
We believe building a network takes time. Our members regularly invest their time into the community — and profit from a trustworthy environment that knows and refers them.
Decision-makers on eye-level
Decision-makers are what makes up our community. People who actually make the decisions and take accountibility — both on the court and in business.
Quality over quantity
It is important to us, that our events are benefitting everyone. That is exactly why we deliberately choose our events, locations, and members. This allows you to meet people more than once and build deeper, long-lasting relationships..
